Lucita Lazo

Lucita Lazo is the President of the World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation Philippines. She is the principal investigator in Defining the Mental Health Research Agenda of the Philippines (2015-2019) and currently serves as the Team Leader in the ongoing Development of the Mental Health Information System under the auspices of the National Center for Mental Health.

She was the first woman Director General, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). She has worked with the UN System throughout the years for various gender equality, labour, employment & social development projects in her capacity as Chief Technical Adviser of the ILO Regional Project on Rural Women Homeworkers and in her stint as Regional Program Director of UNIFEM Southeast Asia in Bangkok, Thailand.
