Dr Jill Murphy

Dr. Jill Murphy, PhD, is the Executive Director of the APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health and is an Assistant Professor and Research Chair in Mental Health and Addictions at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Her expertise is in mental health services research, global mental health and implementation science research with a focus on leveraging digital mental health technologies to improve access and equity to mental health prevention, promotion and care. Her research areas include using co-design to develop e-mental health promotion interventions with youth, integrating care for common health conditions into primary care and community settings, and best practices to promote effective and equitable collaboration in mental health research. She is particularly interested in the meaningful engagement of people with lived experience of mental health conditions in research and in policy engagement to promote mental health systems strengthening. Her research takes place in Canada and internationally, with an emphasis on the Asia Pacific region and underserved communities in Canada.
