Judy Kuriansky, Ph.D., is an internationally known clinical psychologist, professor, author, humanitarian, sought-after speaker, and philanthropist, and an exemplary of the tripartite model as researcher, practitioner and advocate. A Professor of Psychology and Education at Columbia UniversityTeachers College in New York, she lectures around the world, is a past Senior Research Scientist and has extensive clinical experience treating couples, families and children. At the United Nations, she is holds the prestigious appointment as Advisor to the Mission of the Republic of Sierra Leone; has been NGO Representative of the International Association of Applied Psychology and World Council for Psychotherapy for decades; co-organizes and speaks at innumerable UN events; and led successful campaigns partnering with governments to secure well-being in the UN Agenda, with Palau, as well as other Conpacts, and adoption of the GA Resolution on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support sponsored byMexico.

She has conducted original psychosocial trainings and resilience workshops worldwide, including after disasters in Japan, China, Sri Lanks, Sint Maarten, Australia, Iran, and others, and currently for Ukraine, for which she also co-writes and performs music, e.g., after 9/11, the Japan tsunami, Ebola in Sierra Leone, school shootings, Middle East terrorism, and during COVID-19. An avid advocate on behalf of mental health and well-being as well as the rights of women and girls, she has co-developed a Girls empowerment Camp in Africa, conducted workshops for youth worldwide including for World Children’s Day in Malaysia, and presented many events for UN Forums and Commissions, e.g., on the Status of Women and on Science Technology and innovation.

An award-winning journalist, she hosted a top-rated advice call-in radio show popular for youth, and is called on to comment on news worldwide.

Author of many books and professional articles, her latest volume is: “Resilient Health: Leveraging Technology and Social Innovations to Transform Healthcare for COVID-19 Recovery and Beyond”.
