eMHIC and the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Digital Hub for Mental Health have embarked on an exciting new strategic relationship. We are uniquely placed as two peak organisations with a shared history and stakeholders in the mental health domain to leverage our respective strengths and expertise in advancing the digital mental health domain.

The APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health is the coordinating centre for APEC’s work in mental health, bringing together government, public, and private sectors to share, develop, scale up and evaluate innovative evidence- and practice-based programs for mental health.

“Collaboration across sectors and jurisdictions is essential to promote equitable access to evidence-based and appropriate digital mental health supports.” – Dr Jill Murphy, Executive Director of the APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health.

“The alignment between eMHIC and the APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health is based on our complementary domains and strategic goals. We will collaborate on events, share resources and knowledge, and support each other’s aims. eMHIC is enthusiastic about the opportunities to leverage the APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health’s expertise in providing advice and access to digital mental health research. This will greatly support eMHIC’s goal to foster quality and improvement in the digital mental health domain based on evidence and a culture of improvement,” said Professor Anil Thapliyal, Executive Director of eMHIC.

The strategic relationship between eMHIC and the APEC Digital Hub for Mental Health holds great promise for advancing digital mental health globally. Through true collaboration, we will work to improve mental health outcomes and promote equitable access to digital mental health solutions worldwide.
