  1. Predicting Adolescent Mental Health Risks: AI models are being developed to identify potential mental health issues in adolescents by analyzing various risk factors, aiming for early intervention.​

  2. Reducing Readmissions Through Opioid Use Disorder Screening: Implementing AI-driven screenings for opioid use disorder can help in timely treatment, potentially decreasing hospital readmission rates.​

  3. Supplementing Cognitive Therapy with AI Chatbots: AI-powered chatbots are being utilized to support cognitive behavioral therapy, enhancing patient engagement and accessibility to mental health resources.​

 

These AI tools are designed to augment traditional care methods, addressing challenges like workforce shortages and improving efficiency, but they are not intended to replace healthcare providers.​
