Empowering Autism: Discover the SAM and SAM Junior Apps for Stress Management

About the Webinar

SAM is a mobile mental health app co-created with people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in the Netherlands and is now supported by over 300 SAMbassadors. Available in seven European languages, SAM has been shown to reduce perceived stress by 30% and double coping skills after four weeks, with benefits lasting a month after discontinuation.

This webinar covers SAM and SAM junior’s development, functionality, and scientific validation. Alvin van Asselt, a PhD candidate researching rejection-sensitive dysphoria in autism, discusses the app’s user-centric design and its journey to becoming a free, widely accessible tool across Europe.
