Mental Health Commission of Canada Appoints New CEO Lili-Anna Pereša

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) has announced the appointment of Lili-Anna Pereša as its new President and CEO, effective July 9, 2025. Pereša brings decades of leadership experience, including roles at Centraide of Greater Montreal and the McConnell Foundation, where she focused on community-driven solutions to social challenges.

Pereša brings a wealth of experience from her leadership at Centraide of Greater Montreal and the McConnell Foundation, where she advanced community-led solutions to social challenges. Known for her commitment to equity and collaboration, Pereša has worked in both local and global contexts to tackle systemic issues.

“If there’s a thread woven through my professional journey, it’s to serve communities in the best way I can,” she said.

Her background in engineering, management, and political science supports her evidence-based, impact-driven leadership style. Under her guidance, the MHCC aims to scale successful initiatives and deepen its commitment to mental health equity across Canada.
