On May 1, 2025, Mental Health America (MHA) initiated its annual Mental Health Month with the theme “Turn Awareness into Action.” This campaign emphasizes transforming mental health awareness into meaningful steps toward change.

MHA released data revealing that in 2024, over 5.9 million individuals worldwide completed mental health screenings through their online platform, with 78% of U.S. participants showing moderate to severe symptoms of a mental health condition. Notably, 40% of these screeners were under 18, and nearly half of the youth reported frequent suicidal thoughts.

To support individuals, MHA offers free, anonymous, and clinically validated online screening tools in both English and Spanish, connecting users with resources to aid their mental health journeys.
