Glynis Sandland is Chief Executive Officer of Whakarongorau Aotearoa, leading New Zealand’s national telehealth provider since April 2023.
Under her leadership, Whakarongorau supports 1 in 4 New Zealanders through 30+ free health, mental health, family violence, and sexual harm services – delivering over 400,000 contacts annually across multiple digital channels. She’s focused on developing innovative partnerships, including the Taki-o-Autahi collaboration with iwi organisations, and advancing digital transformation in healthcare to ensure equitable access for all New Zealanders.
Glynis brings extensive experience leading large-scale transformation across public and private sectors. Her career includes senior roles at Oranga Tamariki where she was Deputy Chief Executive, Services for Children and Families, as well as leadership positions at Auckland Council, Westpac, and GE Capital.
Her passion is fostering team environments and driving positive outcomes for the most vulnerable – giving everyone in Aotearoa the opportunity for wellness.
