Many parents today face challenges in strengthening their children’s mental well-being, particularly with the complexities of the digital age. There is a lack of accessible, personalised, and evidence-based resources that address the diverse needs of parents at different stages of their journey. Parents often struggle to find practical guidance on building strong parent-child relationships, supporting their children’s mental well-being, and parenting effectively amid rapidly evolving digital influences.
Without tailored support, parents may feel underprepared and lack the confidence needed to foster emotional resilience and healthy development in their children.
Parenting for Wellness reflects Singapore’s commitment to supporting families holistically through a whole-of-government approach and is a key initiative under Singapore’s National Mental Health and Well-being Strategy. This multi-agency collaboration between the Health Promotion Board, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Social and Family Development underscores the initiative’s alignment with Singapore’s national strategy to strengthen family well-being. The platform recognises that parenting is a lifelong journey, encouraging parents to learn and grow alongside their children. Beyond providing resources, it aims to foster a culture where seeking parenting support is normalised.
Confident, well-supported parents are better equipped to raise happy and resilient children, and Parenting for Wellness remains committed to being that trusted resource.
