The 2025 recipient of the Country Leadership Award for Wales is Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW).

Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) is an expert national body and part of NHS Wales, working in partnership with NHS colleagues and other key stakeholders to provide national digital and data services that support the delivery of health and social care in Wales.

Modern health and care services depend on effective digital tools, data, and information. DHCW manages or collaborates with more than 100 services and delivers major national digital transformation programmes to enable safer, more efficient care. The organisation also provides expert guidance on cyber security and information governance, ensuring that digital innovation is safe and reliable.

DHCW equips frontline staff with the digital tools they need to provide high-quality care while also giving patients and the public resources to manage their own health and wellbeing.
