The 2025 recipient of the Leadership Excellence Award for Sweden is the 29k Foundation.

In Sweden, digital design meets evidence and empathy to create a safe space for people to grow and connect. Guided by psychologists, the 29k Foundation built a digital platform for inner development that combines self-guided learning with live, moderated sessions.

Accessible via web and app, the platform is beautifully crafted, free to use, and active across Sweden, Portugal, the UK, and the USA. It is more than a tool. It is a network of “nodes” where communities can start and run wellbeing projects, and when those projects receive funding, they give back to support others.

This model accelerates access to care, places healing in the hands of communities, and demonstrates that open access can lead to deeper connection.
