Wysa aims to provide AI-enabled unique support to all its users, such that they find the same comfort, support, and use that we do when meeting a therapist in person yet does not follow a one size fits all approach.
Increasing demand for mental health services and the expanding capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) in recent years has driven the development of digital mental health interventions (DMHIs). This article reviews current DMHIs with a specific focus on AI-based chatbots, discusses the challenges faced and potential solutions when using chatbots in digital mental health settings through a case study, and concludes with insights regarding potential directions for future research.
Loneliness is a growing public health issue that has been exacerbated in vulnerable groups during the COVID-19 pandemic. Computer agents are capable of delivering psychological therapies through the internet; however, there is limited research on their acceptability to date.
