GLOBAL IMPACT

LEADERSHIP AWARD 2022

LEADERSHIP EXCELLENCE IN
eMENTAL HEALTH IMPLEMENTATION

ORCHA

The 2022 recipient of the Global Impact Award is ORCHA (Organisation for the Review and Care of Health Apps).

As we strive to improve patient care and empower clinical teams to innovate and advance practice, one of the central questions about the safety and effectiveness of digital health apps and tools and the ability to manage change at the pace our populations need it. Nowhere is this truer than in mental healthcare where risk is so high. This is where the processes and structure that this organisation provides proves to be invaluable.

Quite simply, ORCHA helps organisations around the world deliver safe digital health.  And, of course, it isn’t simple but the team at ORCHA take an incredibly complex process and make it simple for healthcare professionals, providers and commissioners.

Our referees simply could not be more delighted – our award recipient’s product, processes and people are absolutely top notch. One referee shared:

“Right when we began working with this incredible team on our young people’s mental health programme, it was clear that they shared our belief that care for our patients could and should be improved and that they wanted to work alongside us to produce the best product and experience possible. This has been clear not only from how they enable the mental health app accreditation process but also through their unwavering support to develop our unique and customised app library and then go on to support wider adoption and training packages to deeply embed digital mental health within our organisation. The impact: Our young people now have a platform that truly meets their needs with a suite of options that THEY can choose.  And, we are confident that what they choose is safe and effective. We’re now empowering young people, carers and families to get the support they need without accessing NHS settings. We now offer a complementary suite of digital mental health apps and tools to de-escalate declining mental health in our children and young people.”

We’re know there are many testimonials like these about our Global Impact award recipient from all over the world: the UK, The Netherlands, Israel, The Nordics and more.

The list of qualities most valued about this organisation is extensive but here’s a snapshot:

  • A digital health accreditation process and quality assurance that builds confidence and trust with clients, partners and clinical teams.
  • A seamless set up process – the team is fantastic, not only in their work but also in their support of wider programmes.
  • The ability to tailor the ‘look and feel’ of the platform to align with our brand.
  • And, above all, authentic leadership and a real can-do culture. What really stood out is this organisation’s people. As a referee shared: “everyone shows a high level of commitment, professionalism and, most importantly, a willingness to listen and respond to our needs. Within the eMental Health space, they have shown a deep awareness and understanding. They have absolutely set us up to embed eMental Health into our practices.”

Congratulations Liz, Tim and the team at ORCHA!
