Fran has been instrumental in enabling the formation of eMHIC, for which we are eternally grateful.  We have gleaned so much from his insights and years of experience in engaging experts and leaders around the globe to collaborate, foster knowledge sharing and bring best practice back to our national and local contexts.

Fran is highly regarded by his peers globally as an exceptional person and a visionary leader.  He is regularly involved in sharing ideas, building on what works and supporting one another in the adoption of new and innovative ways of improving the mental health of our communities, from national leaders through to emerging leaders. He has been instrumental in bringing innovation from around the world into practice nationally and into local communities.

On a personal level, his enthusiasm is contagious, and he is an absolute legend with remarkable humility and goodwill. Fran is an exceptional international mental health sector leader, ahead of his time, with an ability to see what others can’t.  He is gifted at enabling appropriate scaffolding through collaboration at global scale to meet evolving mental health challenges.

Fran has a quiet, inclusive style of leadership that promotes hope and creativity.  So many of us feel privileged to have had the opportunity to work alongside such a great international mental health sector leader.

Fran – our inaugural Special Lifetime Achievement International Award winner for ‘Leadership Excellence for Fostering Collaboration Globally’ is a true inspiration.
