  • Digital approaches have transformed and improved the way we deliver mental healthcare, however, these new tools are failing to serve people with serious mental illness (SMI)
  • Supporting SMI requires a different approach from healthcare funders, and innovation in the digital  sector
  • A shift is starting to occur where the incentives of innovators are becoming more aligned with the population with the greatest need. 
  • A partnership between Government and Digital Mental Health industry is proposed to fast-track the development of digital tools for SMI, not only to help this vulnerable population but to ease the economic burden of disease.
