Across the world, social distancing and local lockdowns have disrupted the treatment of and recovery from substance use disorder (SUD). Individuals can’t get to counseling, are encountering difficulties obtaining medication, aren’t being tested, and community supports, such as AA meetings and recovery coaching, are less available, if at all.
