Since before COVID-19, chatbots have been playing an increasing role in the delivery of mental healthcare. The World Health Organization (WHO) recently hosted a webinar to discuss progress in chatbot technology including how to fight the infodemic through language, usability and accessibility of chatbots and some of the biggest challenges and lessons learned over the past year.
