“Legacy Building with Older Adults – Students Re-Humanizing Health Care” is a course that teaches students the principles of health care while simultaneously connecting them with older adults who may be feeling isolated and alone. Students receive training materials in growth mindset, resiliency, mindfulness and goal-setting, while older adults impart their wisdom by sharing their stories with students in-person, over the phone or through virtual visits.

Unique Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Helpline Officially Launched in Sydney

Thursday 11 November 2022 marked the launch of Australia’s first national Indigenous-led crisis hotline, 13YARN. Funded by the Australian Government (through the Department of Health), the purpose-built, 24/7 national telephone helpline was codesigned with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and is run with the support of Lifeline.
